Laws are created for people in a particular society or country to understand what is acceptable and allowable conduct, within that society or country, and what isn’t. This is accomplished through legislation and regulations governing what is or is not legal.

Criminals don’t give two shits about the law. If they want to shoot somebody, they will get a gun anyway they can. The likelihood of a criminal to even obtaining a license to own a gun is next to nil. Therefore, banning legally owned and obtained guns will do nothing to reduce gun crimes, or murders involving guns.
